| BaySmart
Waterborne Education Field Program
The BaySmart waterborne education field program
just completed a banner year with assistance from
the Port of Houston Authority. PHA’s grant
enabled the organization to provide 19 excursions,
serving 1,451 students from 29 schools in five
school districts. Those independent school districts
are HISD, Deer Park, Pasadena, La Porte and Clear

Employees Deliver for Gulf Coast Regional Blood
Center
Port of Houston Authority employees, tenants, vendors,
contractors and retirees gave the gift of life in
a Summer 2009 blood drive.
Participates donated a total of 66 units of blood
in ther blood drive.
A total of 45 potential donors attempted to give
blood at the PHA Executive Building and 35 were
successful.
At Barbours Cut Terminal, 23 units were collected
from the 32 employees who attempted to donate. |
